Settled in 1784 by Daniel Smith and named for William Henderson this "City by the Lake" is growing but still maintains the beautiful lake side charm. In 2009 the city was named as one of the 10 best places for families by Family Circle Magazine. There are plenty of parks and recreational activites. The city is in Sumner County (just across the Davidson County line) but is still convenient to Downtown Nashville. Come take a look.
